Total Commander is a file management program intended to replace the file explorer that is included by default in the most recent versions of Windows. The program has a plain and basic interface. There are two panes showing the directory structure and the contents of the currently selected directory. Most of the functions Total Commander boasts became an integral part of file explorer some time ago. The exceptions are a built-in file transfer protocol client, batch renaming and a comparison tool for files. There is also an advanced search function. The program uses primarily keyboard shortcuts to make getting things done easier. Total Commander is a good file management application intended for people who have at least an intermediary knowledge of Windows.
